Comment by Arden on May 18, 2012 at 9:11am I'm new to this group. My hydrangeas include: several Annabelles, a forever pink (I think), a huge climbing Hydrangea, one unknown variety and new this year "Bombshell".

Cathy, and big box store that has garden supplies should have it, plus any decent sized garden center. Lyn, here's one of my several online pictures here of brunette http://www.garden-share.com/photo/hydrangea-macrophylla-brunette you can go to my pictures, put in brunette as the search argument and see the others. I doubt sunlight has anything to do with your Hydrangea color - unless it's just washed out from too much sun. It's the soil alkalinity/acidity that causes the color difference between pink and blue flowers. Virtually all soil has aluminum in it, so it's unlikely a shortage of aluminum is the cause. It's possible, but unlikely.
