What to add to soil to make it healthy?

We live in company owned housing which was built in the 50's and 60's.  So, it's been here awhile!  Our yard was just dirt when we moved in but I planted grass.  We have one small gardening area but…Continue

Hello, I live in Phoenix, I am looking for help with our summer lawn, does anyone have any good suggestions for preparing the lawn to insure that you have a beautiful summer lawn?  In the past we have had a very sickly summer lawn, we need help....any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you!

Help I am having a serious issue with WHITE FLIES. They are killing my plants. Has anyone in Arizona found an effective organic solution?

We've always picked as the plant grew too large, then hung to dry, once dry stored in glass jars.  A friend of mine, who is more experienced, said to keep the leaves on the stalk until you're ready to use.  That keeps it fresher.

Well, I haven't harvested any just yet but Iv'e been doing alot of research online and from what Ive read they say to cut whenever u want to use some or to wait until u see some flowring happening and to cut then for better flavor. Also alot of people freeze their herbs after cutting to store them. So I think ill go that route.

I love sunflowers!!  I once grew one that was taller than our garage!!  That was in Nebraska.  My soil is so old I am added things to it.  I can't physically dig it up right now so that will have to do!  What herbs are you growing??

Hi Arizona group!  I live in south east Arizona.  Only 45 minutes from Pam!  I love to garden but don't have a large space, at this time, to use.  I am using what space I do have to grow wild flowers, tomatoes, and herbs.
