Letting fellow Aussies know you've posted photos or added a blog post.

I know I've mentioned this before but I thought I'd suggest this again now that we have quite a few Aussies on this site.  I'm not sure if others regard it as a problem, but catching up with photos posted by other Aussies is very difficult to do unless you spend ages trolling through the pages and pages of photos that are posted almost every day on this site.  Given that each individual has a limit of 100 photos per day, the amount that's posted is staggering sometimes.

Despite the fact that I add lots of Aussies as 'friends', this site doesn't appear to have any way of letting me know when these friends post photos.  Unless you happen to be on the site and spot the note on the 'Latest Activity' sidebar, there's no notification that friends have posted.

Other sites I visit have this feature, so there's a purpose to having 'friends'.  Unless I'm missing something, this site doesn't notify me when my 'friends' post anything other than a comment on one of my photos, or other comments on photos I comment on.  So, unless I spend an hour or so a day going through all the photos, I miss out on your shots.  I just don't have enough time in my day!

What I'm suggesting is that on this group site ... under this discussion topic ... we let everyone know when we've posted photos.  Adding a note to the comment wall will just get lost too I suspect, so it would probably only work if we comment on this discussion topic.  Any other thoughts on this?

Great idea Bernadette, more often than not I only discover other Aussie photos by sheer accident after someone elsewhere spots it and comments.
I'll second that!!!!!
