Spent an hour or so at a park we so enjoy, lots of birds--yellow-rumped warblers, Black Phoebe, curved-bill Thrasher, Logger head Shrike, Killdeer and 2 babies---had a blast!

Lillian, how nice that the little birds are coming around your garden and eyeing off the new house on the block!! You need a birdcam to see if they go into the birdhouse....

First Beans From Second Planting of Pole Beans

"Pole beans are so easy to grow! Just plop the seed in the ground and make sure they have something to climb on. This is a new variety I tried this year. I just love the apricot-colored blooms. (And the beans taste good, too!)"

Early Fall Color

"Correct, Keryn. No frost yet. We usually get our first frost in early November, although it wouldn't be too usual to get one towards the end of October."
