A suggestion, the U.S. and rest of world  bigger groups are getting maps of where each one on group is from so we have an idea about weather, where we live and zones. So whoever is in charge I am in Alberta in Medicine Hat. Put a whole map of Canada up or each province participating and show where everyone is so we can visit if traveling their way.

Are we heading for hibernation in the great white North yet. How is everyone doing? Just broccoli left in veggie garden, the rest of gardens soil turned. Lots of earthworms.

I put old straw between the veggies 3 to 5 inches thick...really controls weeds and also saves on watering

Got most of my veggies into main veggie garden, seeds and starts from Garden Nursery. Now the only things are weed when needed and water for the next month or two. Trying some fruits and veggies never grown before but OK in my climate in Prairies.

Never reached Medicine Hat. If you like to work at oil or gas fields and stinky tire factory and rail. The house for sale signs are popping up all over like weeds. Some moving to BC, Ontario or over the border or further. But for the 50+ no jobs available except doing Avon and related in home work. I have family in BC and Ontario and just into Quebec from Ottawa. And only friend here , she and her fiance are moving back to North Bay end of June. Heading down to Drumheller to remaining dog's vet for her yearly could be her last trip down, hope not, but she is 14 going on 15 in July. I will replace with same breed.

Wow, big move...when did you relocate to AB?? Isn't the market hopping out there??? You should be able to make quick money and ship out or has the AB rush not reached Medicine Hat??

I miss my house outside Perth, Ontario. Sold and moved West, bad move all around. Want to try to find a place back near Perth or Pembroke East area.That's if my house will list in Medicine Hat, AB. and sell.

Sun is out, but rain might be expected later. At least rains have softened the clumps of soil  so can have even surface in main vegetable garden.

A frost warning was issued again last night.

Going out of town for the day tomorrow so will be offline unless stay overnight where am going.

I have bean seeds, peas seeds, cucumber seeds and cantelope seeds to plant in main garden after I remove a few weeds that like to strangle. I have my rhubarb, green bell pepper plants and a tomato or two in nursery pot in my sunroom. Found dishes to catch water. Weather still iffy here, going down to 2C 4 hours away in Calgary frost warning. Where are you in Canada? We could be neighbors.
