Hah, thanks all!  Wilson has a specific spot right by the computer, and I always remember to bring in him after his photo shoots (especially after the sun-fade episode of 2002, LOL).  Thanks for looking/commenting on the madagascar palm, I sure appreciate it.  It was touch and go for awhile as I kept hoping hoping hoping it would dry out--unpotting it exposed the root ball to air to help it out that first week.  I won't give it a drop of water when it drops its leaves for winter.  That's kept the little one happy for several years, and it just keeps on growing.

Happy gardening, collecting, propagating and rescuing!

Loving the pics coming through. And I have to ask, Grant how do you keep track of Wilson when he is all over the place?

I'm happily nursing some cuttings and starts that I've received from other gardeners I'm so anxious to see how they go. So far so good :)

Cool rescue Grant. The emplyees in the stores have no clue about all the different plants and their needs.. They think all they need is water, and then there are employees that don't water..lol Poor plants, lucky for them there are people like us:)

Hi all, speaking of rescues, here's a Madagascar palm (Pachypodium lamerei) that I bought for eight dollars as the hardware store though it was DEAD.  It had lost its leaves due to cool temps and to being hideously overwatered.  I bought it, took it home and gave it tons of sun and water only when dry, now six weeks later it looks pretty good repotted and growing with a friend.  Here's the before and after.  I put Wilson the tennis ball in the after on the rescue's pot to show relative size.  I hope you enjoy, it's so fun to hear your stories of rescues and propagation I thought I'd just share one too.  Happy gardening and rescuing, LOL.

Cynthia, you're right!  I meet Master Gardeners and admire their knowledge, but it can be intimidating, too.   I've learned a lot from posts here . . . it helps improve my small green thumb.  LOL

That is neat Connie. I don't know a thing about air plants either. I have collected many new plants in the past six months. I had no idea so many of my houseplants would or could bloom. GS has been the funnest place ever. I too was so glad to know others felt like I did, about plants, and that helped me not feel so silly. I could talk to people who felt the same way.
