Wow Arden, can't believe you found that fairy at the dollar store! I'll have to check it out!

thank you all. we dont have a thrift store here and the $ stores dont have fairys all they have are gnomes so I guess it will be a gnome village.

I have enough gnomes to start a nice lil village, just dont know where I want to put it yet

Thanks, Patti.. what an odd spring, huh?   It's kind of worrisome in that the trees and plants are beginning to leaf out and yet if the weather does normalize and freezes off and on (normal) what happens to the emerging plants?

Tanya, I just realized I didn't answer your question about elevation.  I am at 500 ft.

Snow this morning in Oregon too.  I'm not liking it one bit.  My friend, who is not a gardener, thinks it is great.  My faries are all still tucked away, sad to say.

Patti, I'm in No CA. We are finally getting snow in the coastal mountains. Winter's finally arrived and tomorrow is the first day of spring.

I am in Washington State.  While the rest of the US is having record heat we are having record cold.

Comment by Arden on March 19, 2012 at 4:45pm

We too are having record warmth (70's instead of 50's). Snow and cold are still very possible but ... I worked at creating the space for the wee/fairy garden today and have the aches and pains to prove it.  Garden progress photos to come.
