Hi Sharon,

Visiting Fairchild and several other botanical sites in S.FLA is something I really hope to get to this Fall.  Maybe in the November time frame.

The garden is looking sad even with all the rain. My roses need to be fertilized but has been too hot to do it.

Hi David .. planted mine three years ago but located them last year so they are not as far along as yours.  There are still some runners rooted in the original spot and someday, will get around to moving those too.  I like your "teepee" tressis idea.  I put up two 4x4 8 foot posts 10 feet apart and ran some wire between them.  Maybe next year they will be as nice as yours!

... I was guessing an edulis but could not see the stem in the pic.  We've got an edulis "multi-color" in the garden at Leu in Orlando.  Yours fits very nicely in your landscape!

"jackfrost" brunnera

"Yes, they take full to part shade; no harsh afternoon sunlight. The other great thing about brunnera is that they take DRY shade, so unlike many plants, they thrive under big trees. Once established, they are as close to a zero-maintenance plant as…"

"Yes I understand Clare I would be very annoyed with him too. Its a lot of work to build fenced areas around your plants. Maybe you could trap him and take him else where to live."
