I did not plant this beautiful but pesky vine.  The vine is growing between my holly bush and the fence line.  It grows to cover the entire holly bush.  I have tried cutting it down to the ground and yanking it by its roots to no avail.  I can't take down the fence or move the holly bush to get a shovel in there.  Any ideas?

Well like my friend who pulled out all my ivy for me, you have to 'shovel' those roots out to make sure you get all those trailers also.
I agree, you must dig, dig, dig. Try roundup , and don't let it go to seed. Keep cutting it down and don't let it make food for itself. After a while (2 seasons) it may just poop out .
Well, I myself like to be organic, but I suppose if you get desperate you could paint the new leaves with Round-Up to kill it. But be darn sure not to get any on the holly bush. That's why I said "paint it". Take a brush and literally "paint" the leaves individually (all that you can reach)-but they have to be actively growing, preferably fresh in the spring.
