They don't even completely die back some winters here, but they did last year. As long as a few are left, it won't take long for them to come back to their full glory. Just Google passion flower and you will see that most of them are not hardy, but there are some you can order that are hardy to Zone 7. This is an especially pretty one, but they all are to me and have a nice fragrance too. You might be surprised at how many colors there are.
