Wisteria Help
I have a Wisteria in my yard. It is supported only by a large metal post right now. I had hoped to grow it in a tree form and not vine. It has grown enough this year to start actually vining. How do I get it to just look like a weeping tree......cut off the vining part back to where I would like the tree to be......or what? Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure that you can make the vine into a tree. You could try to braid the vines. But if it is a vine you are going to get vines. I have both tree and vines and they do grow different.

No, you had it right, Mary. Keep cutting it back to the spot that you want as limbs on your tree. Every year it will get bigger and thicker and woodier. It won't be too many years that it won't need any more support.
