A tip for arranging hydrangea ~ I hold the stems in my hand and arrange them and then I use a twist tie to hold them in place. The blooms are top heavy and tend to fall or move out of place in the vase.
That is a gorgeous arrangement and I love the idea about the twist tie for the hydrangeas! I never could figure out how people got the big, fluffy arrangements when mine were always falling out of the vase!

Beautiful arrangements. I am more likely to be one who admires, than one who posts pictures. I love to arrange flowers and see beautiful arrangements, but unfortunately, I am more of a left brain math and science person than an artistic right brain person so my arrangements are not always so well balanced. Maybe as I pick up some of your hints like the twist tie idea, I'll have better luck!
Hi Barbara,
Welcome to our group. I just visited your website and enjoyed your pictures. Several of them reminded me of my yard. We lived in Northern VA for 23 years, I have a good friend in Suffolk, VA who is a master gardener.

Welcome, Barbara. I'm a left brain person too. I think that's our problem, we tend to balance things too well and they don't come out looking artistic. I love ya'll part of the country. I graduated ... a long time ago ... from college in Spartanburg, SC and my sister and brother-in-law were in college in VA. I've originally from South Texas but have been in North Texas ... where we are getting a huge amount of rain last night and today ... and have been in this area for ~25 years.

Those are beautiful arrangements, what type of Hydrangeas are they?
Rene~
Rene thanks for the compliment, they are endless summer hydrangea. It is a repeat bloomer and the blooms can be blue, pink or mauve
