In the 10 years we have lived in Eastern WA, I have never seen a Spring with so much rain & cool temps before. My poor garden is looking pretty sad. The tomatoes are a soggy brown mess. I think I will start over this next week and hope the weather will hold now and we finally get some sunshine. The farmers are also having a hard time. Due to the rain the cherry crop is 2-3 weeks late. The helicopters are flying overtime to keep the water of the cherries and are trying to keep them from splitting and ruining the crops.
But the weeds don't seem to mind. They're growing like mad. I gotta get busy before it starts looking like a jungle out there. It will take me several days to get things under control.
Enjoy the sunshine, folks, it looks like we finally are getting some anyway...yay!!
