Comment by John Jardin – zone 9 on February 23, 2011 at 11:01pm Can't stop me. I bought a bag of Oriental hybrid lilies, Daylilies and Dahlias,
John has been planting them. Now that will be fun for him to see-a product of his work.
Comment by John Jardin – zone 9 on February 23, 2011 at 10:41pm John-He cannot wait until the garden is blooming to bring his friends over to see what he has helped with. I couldn't ask for a better garden helper than John. My son and granddaughter help me but it is where they live. To John it is a joy-you are right-there is a lot of work but when that is almost done (and i say almost done) the results are soo rewarding!
Right now he is taming my blackberry patch. It covers 1/4th of my garden. I have 7 trellises that I drape the canes on. We have to cut all the old canes out and then it will almost be done. He got one area done and walked through it-almost prancing with joy with appreciation for what he had accomplished. It really was a lot of work.
