Primula kisoana, woodland shade primrose, blooms in spring but foliage looks attractive all season. Grows by underground runners in rich woodland soil , also comes in white form, Alba, though its not as easy for some reason.

Moist soil, rich soil for Forget me Nots and violets. Forget me nots are unattractive when they go to seed, but you can mow them down @ that stage and they just keep coming back. You need to love the wild  cottage garden look to want these, but when they bloom it looks beautiful. Also you can plant other perennials that grow taller as the forget me nots fade away making them less noticeable.
