Wow! I just found this. I am an old fashioned writer, and a writer. I don't and actually can't do the 1 word or sentence way of communicating. It is a sign of the times, but I will stick with the way I grew up and just grew. I am just an' old hippie, at 14 we really walked around the park, me and my Sister and Brother who was older, with flowers in our hair. It was a great time in my life, a great start to being me and being creative. The outdoors, music, camping, community, children, all the best things in life. Now gardening is my great passion and the whole, huge, unending world of horticulture. I am a conservationist to the soul. My kids are nicely grown, that was my biggest gift to mankind. My youngest Daughter, DeAnna died when she was 27. The most horrible loss and tragedy one could ever live through. I joined "Memorial Gardens" Now I have more to do and give. I am moving away from the desert S/W to Oregon. There are few garden groups here, I have started many things in my life, but now I am ready to follow and add my voice to the many. I hope I will be well received here in this forum. I look forward to hearing all that I can about all of you. I have to go eat...darn. I wanted to stay here, but I will return. Marian

Steve, those were some really fun (FUNNY) "trips," huh?  I think my hubby thought I was a little crazy out here laughing like a loon.  :)  Good Morning to you Catherine and right back atcha!  Grant, wow, that does seem like a lot of rain for AZ.  I love your state.. special places like the obvious but I truly loved time spent at Ramsey Canyon!

Good Morning (6:46 A.M. here) Audrey.. What a lovely sunset!  Hope all is well up your way.  We've had two snowstorms here so far....snow is gone already and today it's 53º!  That is fairly unusual for mid-December.  Since we lost the power with the last snowfall I'm not so into snow this season.  We have a generator but it's just a pain.  Keep in touch when you're able.. always nice to have you stop in.  :)

Hi All, been a while, lost my web site, found it and decided to say "Hi" and Merry Christmas to all.  Been cold and snowy here, we have had 20" above average for this time of year.  No gardening of now.  Hope all of you are doing well.  Here is a sunset  a couple of days ago.

Hi's been a while since I stopped in for a chat.  Hope you are all doing well...getting ready for winter and holidays?  We are already discussing who's going where for Thanksgiving!  Can't believe another year is passing.  I've been busy with my master gardening activities..something going on each weekend this month. Fall vegetables and seeds have been in for a couple of weeks..we'll see what survives the birds, dogs and gopher! So far it's the lettuce, beans, peas and broccoli.  Love the cooler temperatures and a few of our trees are turning colors.  Take care for now and will stop in sooner than later next time.

Gardening is a kind of sanctuary, peaceful  and presents purpose in my spirit.

Uh-oh, it's Audrey's pic, Steve.  :)  But yes, it's a great pic!  Fall is beginning to show her beautiful colors around here.. just love the smell of the damp leaves on the ground, fresh crunchy apples, halloween approaching... hope it's lovely wherever you guys are as well.  :)  Have a great day.

l it is time for me to say "Hello" to all of you, been busy and under the weather, so to speak.  Or it might just be old age catching up to me anyway Hello all and good Morning!  It is cool here in Anchorage and the snow is creeping down the mountain sides, so winter is close at hand, but we were here first, so bring it on!!  Hope all are doing well and staying busy in your gardens!  Ours are about all put to bed!  Beets and carrots coming out real soon to be stored for the winter eating.  Have a wonderful day and lets plan a trip before too long.  Hello Tanya and Bill and all the others out there.  Stay well.  These are Whooping cranes (snow cranes) can't remember which, taken down in Homer Alaska last month, in a friends yard.

Good Morning Steve and all... rainy day here but I'm not complaining.  Our TX friends need rain very badly.  Hubby's dr. appt. early this afternoon and a guy coming by to look at our gas cookstove that's for sale.. got a new one and am loving it!  Hope everyone has a good day.  :)
