Comment by Karen Clark z7b Pacific NW on July 4, 2011 at 10:28am I love creating new areas in our garden always managing some sort of hardscape project in the process. We are pretty well finished, but there is always the opportunity for change! My husband and I had a very large project when we built our pond several years ago hauling all the rock from a nearby mountain. For a time we actually had a cement mixer and also made stepping stones, benches and tables. The 100 lb projects have lost their appeal with our aging bodies. My next project will be cement leaves using our gunnera leaves. The first picture is the completed pond and the second one is me scrubbing rocks to be cemented into place. Whew! I wonder if I could haul those rocks today?
