Hi all, I have noticed little gnats in my indoor herb garden and they seem to be multiplying,  Anyone know how to get rid of them without harming the plants? I have heard of putting sticky tape near the plant and it will hopefully catch most of them but I have not tried this yet.

Thanks!

Anna, are your certain they are gnats and not fruit flies?

you are right Tammy they are fruit flies, they are annoying little guys!

They may be in the dirt.  A sticky strip will help in the short term, but you might want to take the whole thing outside when it is warm enough.  I think I would try changing the dirt, but even after doing so, I'd leave the repotted herb garden outside for a bit, just in case.
