This is the first time I have posted, so if I am doing something wrong - please forgive. I think Henriette's Herbal Homepage is the best online resource I have found. However, I always try to back anything online up with either multiple sources or a printed resource. A wonderful printed resource (in my opinion) is Rodale's Encylopedia and it was definately worth purchasing.
Permalink Reply by Melissa Hauk on December 23, 2011 at 11:31am Hello. i own an herb shop where i make all my own medicines from the plants i grow. i also teach. i have a Face book group called Herb Questions, Knowledge, and advice. Lots of herbalists answering questions http://www.facebook.com/groups/275106522514832/?ref=ts Please join!!

Two Books: The Rodale Herb Book is packed full of medicinal herb info (in my house, its affectionately called the herb bible). Another book I have that might be of use is called 'How Indinas use wild plants for food, medicine and crafts' by Frances Densmore. Lot of 'backwood' knowledge in that book. (ISBN 0-486-2319-8) and printed in 1974. Might be a hard find, but as I said, very useful.

I am one year into getting my clinical herbalist certificate. I grow echinacea, arnica, calendula, comfrey, black cohosh, st. john's wort, sweet woodruff, bay, basil, parsley, cilantro, oregano, thyme, fennel, yarrow, dill, garlic, onion, lemon balm, and many others.
