The best looking one is still the one living at Marsha's place. It is way too big to bring here til I get the sun porch fixed up. Or the kitchen fixed so I can get all the food prep stuff out of the dinning room. Even then the stupid heat/cool vents are right in front of the windows so need vent deflectors.

Congrats on the bees, Vicky!  That's neat.  Hopefully your houseplants will all settle in and look great soon.  We'd love pics when possible.  Happy gardening all!

My houseplants are hanging in Some stll look really sad from the move. Have food plants under a grow light. My grape ivy think that's it's name is growing like crazy. The spider looks like crap all the tips are dry and it's not a deep green like my friend Deb's was and hers is on the front porch outside.

But I am all excited as we just counted 10 bees on the garlic chives. I had only seen one since I moved here in May.

Oh, by the way, I found these fun bird-and-next ceramic planters this past weekend and a new, local antique mall.  They were only a few dollars each so I purchased them and filled them each with a haworthia plant.  I've accidentally built up quite a flock of these containers, hah, easily into the 30's now, shame on me, LOL.  Happy gardening!

Good luck witth your parents, Marianne.  That can be a real drain.  All the best to you and to them!

Here's a pair of those larger air plants--one "before" and one "after" being soaked in rain water for 20 minutes.  They're so green and soft after soaking, LOL.

Happy gardening all!

Keryn your orchid is beautiful!  And Grand love your blooming cacti!  Air plants are cool looking too.  I have been neglecting my poor plants as I have been dealing with my sick elderly parents in another state, but things are settling down and hopefully I can get back to gardening!

Hi everyone, nothing fancy, but I thought I'd share some pics of my air plants (Tillandsias) growing indoors.  Despite our low humidity, these seemed to be doing well with minimal care at a local home/decor store for a couple of months, so I decided to buy them after seeing them survive in a non-retail place, LOL.

I soak them in rain water once a week, let them drain for half an hour or so, and then plop into bright indirect light.  So far so good. We'll see how they do long term!  Happy house planting!  Let us know what's going on in your indoor collection!

Here are two tiny ones attached to a piece of cork tree bark, resting on top of the soil of a contorted, grafted Euphorbia in the den.

Such a pretty orchid, Keryn, thanks for posting it.  I love the colors and the patterns.  So nice!

My little grafted cacti are settling in outside.  I took the "bands" off after a week and slowly introduced them to life in the great outdoors.  Since both the top and bottom parts love the climate here, there's hope.  We'll see!  Here's a recent pic.

Happy gardening!

This is the one small orchid out. A dendrobium, flowers are 2cm x 2cm . They look great when they have more spikes maybe next year.
