That is one odd shaped plant, Grant but one very stricking bloom.

Fun new posts, thanks for the nice comments on my crown of thorns plant.  They really ARE resilient aren't they?  You're right of course Beth, they can sunburn just like people when moved too quickly into sunshine, but as yours is doing, they do recover nicely. Neat that you're getting some random blooms on your Thanksgiving cactus, Glenda, that's fun!  I am too, just one or two a week, but I'll take it!

Here's the first bloom on my Adenium obesum plant (sometimes called "desert rose").  They're neat, fat-trunked succulents that make pretty blooms all summer long.  Happy houseplanting all!

My second AV has succesfully rebloomed.  As I've said before, that makes me so happy.  Sorry, I haven't taken any pics yet.  Grant, I love the story of the mamma quail.  How nice of you to let them stay.  I keep getting very sparatic blooms on the three TC that I put in one pot last year.  My EC still hasn't bloomed but the cuttings I took are still blooming.  Hope you all are enjoying gardening inside and out.

I know mamma quail is happy that you allowed the use of your COT plant!!! My COT is dark pink and can forego water long periods of time.  I moved one too quickly into the sun and it lost all its leaves but now has one flower stalk out of the top of it, no leaves yet...bright pink.  They are quite resilient.

Here's a quick pic of the crown of thorns plant on the patio that went almost without water for 30 days while hosting a mamma quail and her eggs.  All of the eggs hatched and the babies jumped out to join mamma and dad quail.  The plant looked pretty darn tired but is slowly perking up so I thought I'd share a pic of it, plus a 'Mr. Wren' geranium bloom too.  Wilson the tennis ball in pic #1 to show size.  Keep the pics and comments coming all!  Happy gardening!

The plants all look really nice, Vicky, thanks for posting them!  I don't know what's on the back of those begonia leaves.  Are you sure it's even a problem?  Either way, things are looking good!

Back in December I cut some flowers and foliage from the garden, including some scented geranium.  The geraniums didn't root in water but they looked great for two months, so finally I stuck them in potting soil and voila!  They rooted and are now decent sized little plants.  I'm keeping this one indoors as a houseplant so I can enjoy the scent up close and personal, LOL.  Happy houseplanting all!

If you look real close, I need to prop up the front part of the split leaf plant or plant it deeper or put big rocks around it as It is leaning bad.
