What kind of gravel that can be used in between sandstone to keep grass from coming up?

For some reason i am thinking crushed granite. I am making a sandstone path, but i need something to put in between them. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for suggestions for a ground cover in my garden area. There is a place where I will not be planting anything, I will need a walking path and I have an A-frame swing there. I do not want grass to cut or pavers bricks. I thought about moss but dont know if that is a good idea or not. Any suggestions?

I'm new to the group. Does anyone have a software program they like to use when drawing up a landscape design? I'm looking for something that costs $50 or less to help me plan the occasional landscape for friends and family.

...for environmental conservation, and mainly getting rid of dust pollution from mining industries (my place of work ) tree planting is the best option for beautiful land scape.

I hope to add and Arbor to the front of the garden with some grapes as an entry. And eventually a garden shed off to the right of the garden that the stone walk will also go to. It will be a work in progress project. Hopefully to have less grass to mow and vegetables, fruit, and blooms throughout the summer. Below is the start.

I am a landscape designer in the Thousand Islands area of the St. Lawrence Seaway in the "true" upstate New York. We are looking forward to spring, my home is called Iwa Gake (Rock Cliff in Japanese).
