Well, I was going to take more pictures of my "what are these?" plants, but then it got cold and some were knocked out and then it rained and rained.... so more picks of those later if they come back!! :)
In the meantime... anyone know what this is?

thanks, Cindy. I've been busy with my ONE class called Greenhouse Management. I'm not doing very good, because I'm not really interested in how many BTUs are lost through the top, sides, etc... and how large of a heater would I need to heat a 12,000 sq.ft. greenhouse. But, I am learning a lot, reluctantly! ^-^ And I still need to send you the purple shamrocks!

I'm glad you didn't just throw it out as a weed. It's a cute little Bachelor Button. My dad used to grow the annual bachelor buttons every summer.

Yes, definitely bachelor's button.  They are close though as both are the genus Centaurea.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centaurea

Cindy, as I always say, a weed is just a plant where you don't want it to be!  I think it is pretty, whatever it is and if it doesn't get too prolific through seeding itself where you don't want it and it grows nicely and looks good season long, I would say it is a keeper!

I think it's knapweed and that could go either way, depending upon  the variety and personal opinion.

You know what, Susan? This could be fun, especially if you post more pics as the weeds/flowers mature! ;-D

#2 Hibiscus #4 Shasta daisy #9 looks like a Lily but it is too open to be one I think it is some kind of Bromeliad I always give every plant a chance even weeds are good for something like butterflies. : )

1.  Looks like a flower of some sort....not sure what.  Leave it and see what the bloom is.

2.  Looks like the off shoot of some kind of tree.  Look around your yard and see if anything looks similar.

3.  I don't think it's a weed but ??

4.  I think that's a weed.

5.  It is a native geranium, but some are pretty flowers and some are just weedy.   If the flower is a pretty purple keep it...other wise....pull it.  It will reseed like crazy!!

6.  Maybe some sort of sedum or weed?

7.  Daylily

8.  Lithrope?

9.  Hybrid Lily
