My First Orchid

A friend gave me a Phalaenopsis with 13 blooms on it. I can only keep it in my computer room because I have many cats who love to attack flowers. About two weeks ago, I noticed a little bump on the main stem that the blooms were on. I have watched a new leaf sprout with the little feeler. I am so excited, and am trying to get up nerve to put this new creation in a pot of it's own. Any help?

I a happy to see you good fortune here. Do not replant the orchid until it becomes pot bound. Be sure to use an orchid mix when you do. Good luck!
