Though my orchid still isn't fully standing tall, hubby was able to get me a decent picture of it.

Very pretty orchid Pat. Yes, I agree they do teach us patience. Robin, I can't wait until I see your orchid too!

Oh that is even better. I love it when a plant has a fond memory to go with it.

Happy Anniversary!

I'm so excited because this orchid was a gift from the wedding reception of my husbands nephew who got married one month after we did.  So it is going to be in bloom for my 1 year anniversary and for theirs.  So nice!

Pretty Pat, isn't it exciting when they bloom.

My first orchid is blooming.  The only thing I have done is keep it next to a NW window and water with 3 ice cubes every Sat.

Here is one of my orchid that is teaching me patience, I want it to bloom NOW but it's been taking it's own sweet time.

Nigella double flowered yellow spider May 2013

A bright yellow spider perched on the petals of a pretty, double-flowered mauve-and-white Nigella plant in the garden this morning. Nigella loves it here when grown in winter/spring, and it self-sows around the garden. Easy winter/spring annuals…
