I saw some white woodland flowers growing on a rocky slope along a winding forest road and thought they were Bloodroot, Sanguinaria, but after looking on-line at photos of flowers of Hepatica, Anemone, Jeffersonia, Sanguinaria, and Anemonella, I realized I found some Rue-Anemone, Anemonella thalictroides.

That is a pretty little flower...
That's lovely! When we go for rides I stare out the window to search the landscape for what is just growing wild. I'd actually like to set up a section of my garden for all PA native plants. We want to put a turtle bog next to it. I already have some different strains of milkweed because I'm also a huge butterfly lover but I'm looking for wild sweet peas. I noticed some growing wild in my town but am hesitant to dig them out. I feel like if I do, I need to plant something else there!
