I thought it would be fun to post the plants that you vowed "never again!" Maybe you were disappointed in its performance, or it spread like crazy or made a mess. For me, late last summer I ripped out all my lamb's ear (a few bits came back, that's okay), those orange "ditch" lilies a neighbor gave me a few years back, and the evening primrose that took over and choked out its neighbors.
I have it in the shade and it does spread but seems to be more behaved. I have another Lambs ear that I grow in the sun and it acts more like a speedwell and it hasn't even sent out any seedlings after 2yrs. I am very well pleased with it and wished I had more.
Julie..you are so right about it drinking round up for BREAKFAST!!!! I have to weed it every year and I got rid of most of it 9 years ago!!! Buyer beware with that plant!!!! It should carry a warning sign with it!!!!
The 'Snowball Viburnum" bush. I thought it was the nice viburnum shrub with the sweet smelling blossoms. No, I get snowballs with no scent, that leave white debris, don't smell, and it's spreading (I went from having one bush to 2 bushes).
Creeping Myrtle. I keep tearing it out, and then it's back. Same for the Spearmint & Peppermint (when I was young & didn't know better).
My goodness, if I didn't know better I would think this was the side of my grandmothers house. I actually love the snowball tree and have been looking for one. I had one 2 years ago that I was going to plant but I gave it to my mother-in-law thinking that I could go back to the store and get another. But alas they were sold out and I haven't been able to find another.

Denise, keep my contact info handy. My mom has one and she gave me a start from hers last year and it took! She's given me several over the years, but this is the first one I've actually taken care of and made sure it was pampered a bit. If you would like, I would gladly send you a start from my mother's plant later (it is older than me!) if she has any suckers this year! I think if you plant it somewhere it can really grow and appreciate it's full size, it will delight you!
