I have also found and become extremely interested in the subject of permaculture. Am doing research on it so I can apply it to our home and am working on including it into my Polk County Master Gardeners newsletter.

Just joined. Read Gaia's Garden, moving to Athens, GA, in January. Pine forested suburban neighborhood, with a few small ponds, green house, and raised beds already. I intend to spend this year mulching and observing and growing stuff in containers that I can move into different areas to see how they do in the shade. Neighborhood prohibits taking any of the pines down....

Hi Lynette, So glad to see this group. Good for you !! Discovered Permaculture last year and I am fascinated with concept and what a following !! West Coast is much more progressive on this issue than us and I love how simple and common sense the whole approach is. bill mollison is amazing.cheers annmarie
