Marlene. Thanks for posting again, as I am a recent member of this particular group. Besides, there is no shame in posting magnificent photos more than once!

Great picture of the fox. I have a picture of a fox that I took a couple of years ago. She came out of the woods across the street from my house and sat down in the road like a little dog waiting for a handout.

Great photo of the fox, he is a beauty. The other day while driving on the freeway - along the side of the road was one wild turkey, but not the same as shown in the picture. We were all stopping to see him and hoping he would not cross the highway. It was such a ridiculous sight!!

Rich, I too love appletv, great for viewing all of our photos and ordering movies. I don't have the other stuff you mention, but I do have XM Radio, and the reception can be a challenge. I do sometimes long for the days when all I did was push a button and the tv came on with only 11 stations and an Indian pattern. Spring is here in all of its glory in Southern California. There is a stretch of highway with the ocean on one side and the other in brilliant yellow with mixed with lush fresh green. It is fantastique, the yellow is so bright, it is almost blinding.

I love my cell phone and texting, I love my ipod, I love my MacBook, I love my tivo, I love my 62" hi-def tv, I love my apple-tv., I love my Yamaha 7 cd change, I love my electronic piano. That is what makes (or lets) me enjoy nature, gardening, birding so much because I can choose to leave all that stuff behind when I need tranquility -that I get from nature, gardening and birding.

I'm loving this , Gyda. Early morning coffee on the porch, surrounded by God's beautiful nature, what a life. Then I see something out in the yard that needs my attention, next thing I know it's 5:00pm and the day is gone but what a blessed day, that the Lord has made. When I get really busy though and the birds have gone for a nap, I love my Christian music blaring His praises in my garden. CD's or Christian radio station "KLOVE"

I'm enjoying these discussions (as usual)!
I also like the sounds of nature when gardening. My husband still says about when I got my first cell phone, because he says I told the woman (very emphatically), "Well, I hope I NEVER use it"... embarrassing him, etc. I am pretty sure I did say that as we were getting it for emergency purposes at the time and I swore I wouldn't really give the # to anyone because I already had WAY too many phone calls (I jokingly call myself a volunteer extraordinaire). We were getting it also because at the time my husband was working several hours aways and wasn't always home at night...for our communication, but I wouldn't be able to take his phone when I went out (Dayton, Ohio area then).
Well, now I am on that dang thing a lot, especially since we are long distance from the town (village) where we do everything & we even got rid of long distance on the land line. (Seriously considering getting rid of the land line, but that # is out for several things & on posters even).
Anyway, I have an earpiece, but seldom use it...wish it fit better/ was more comfortable. I definitely just prefer the lazy method of, "here, who wants to program the new phone" Texting makes very little sense to me... only for my soph in college really. It's quicker just to call and say something, and don't have to wait for a response unless they aren't available right then. My HS Soph only texts other people it seems, even if we're driving & I'm trying to find out something like directions or location. UGH
RE birds: my m-i-l told me on Easter that the hummers supposedly 'are in southern Ohio' so we both have our feeders up and are waiting their arrival. :-)

I'm like you Susan. I like the peace and tranquility. The birds and squirrels are music enough for my ears while I'm in the garden.

well, for me, I try to concentrate on which shoe goes on which foot in the morning...after that I'm content to putz around the garden...oh boy, just saw our first hummingbird here!

I love the new technology. I've had my cell phone and headset on when I'm in the garden because I can talk and weed at the same time. I don't have to stop doing what I'm doing. I also have an iPod and I love it in the garden. I generally use the earbuds instead of the speakers but the music is just for me! My husband is the technophobe of the family. I did have to have my 21 year old explain how to load music on my iPod but I can do it myself now. Like anything, you learn how to do the stuff that you want to do. We have plugged my iPod into my husband's CD player to have music outside, but we get into 'discussions' about the quality of each other's musical tastes.
