Poor Country Boy Gardening

Poor country boy gardening is when you want or need something for your garden and can't afford it. So you get creative on how to get it trading or bartering for it. digging it up out of an empty field or off the side of the road or a neighbors yard.

With permission of course

just saying there are uses for things tough thorny drought loving trees make great hedge rows in farm land stopping desertification. the wood is extremity hard and durable making great cheep wood for shipping pallets that can be reused many times.

They would not make it through customs they would destroy it without  telling any one, they are very strict, even going from South Australia to Western Australia you are not allowed to take anything no potatoes or carrots they search your car, caravan, truck. Its a strange experience the border is half way across the Nalabor Plains (desert ) it takes 4 days to cross the plains and there are only roadhouses to fuel up and get supplies. At the border  roadhouse there is a caravan park  ( nothing else ) and everyone stays there to cook up all their vegetables so they don,t have to throw them away.

I suspect that horse apples, or beaux de Arc fruits would be considered a potentially noxious weed-tree in Australia. They are very thorny and tough well adapted trees. The only thing that holds them back here in the south central US is that they have lots of bugs that like to eat them. In Australia, freed of those pests, they would go nuts, and become noxious.

the have a sap or juice that is a natural repellant just put them out like moth balls  I think it has a high boric acid level they don't like. I ship priority mail have sent stuff to Australia just have to list what it is no problem.
