Poor Country Boy Gardening

Poor country boy gardening is when you want or need something for your garden and can't afford it. So you get creative on how to get it trading or bartering for it. digging it up out of an empty field or off the side of the road or a neighbors yard.

With permission of course

Great photos Jon, Glad you were able to get outside. It hit 60 here today and I spent it in the ER with them trying to figure out why I'm having these awful headaches. It either has to do with my epidural or it's a sinus infection.

I had to go out and buy a bigger extention cord to run my WORKX and it will run my chain saw. I paid more for the cord than my WORKS. Could have maybe gotten one a bit cheaper but figured I needed a good one and didn't want to fry my tools by going cheap. Now I'm really a poor country girl but I'm only as good as my tools. Got some other good deals the past 2 days and got lunch on my friend Deb today. Now I really need to stop spending and get back to work. Gonna go try my new toy and clean up the driveway of shame or go plant something. I've been getting seeds 1/2 off at Fred Meyer and trying to pick up as many organic ones that I can find so been spending a little bit more than .20.

It was ok temp wise today but dang high winds again. I had to clean my chiropractor's house today to pay on my treatments. But I shopped my way home. This poor country girl bought herself a WORKX trivac today at Lowes, got 7 Alaska hose end sprayers for .29 each normally $11.51, Neem, Jobe sticks for house plants, 2 pair gloves for $2, onion sets, drip hose and sprinklers. Then stopped at Harbor Freight and got some metal letter stamps so I can hammer out some plant tags got 20% off and a free set of screw drivers. All and all a good shopping day as I always wanted that vac/blower cause it switches by just flipping a switch.

Best of all I got pictures of the pair of morning doves I have been trying to attract to my feeders and beds to show off. I made a secluded open end box in the beds hoping they mite like it for a nest. They remind me of being out in the country waking up to the soft cooing in the morning.
