Repurposed baby crib 3 Replies

A friend gave me this crib when I was pregnant. It was the kind that drops down in the front and is unsafe to use, it also was missing a lot of bolts & we couldn't even figure out how it goes…Continue

Improve your bird feeders. 3 Replies

Why do they make bird feeders that rush the birds away?  My husband has helped me this winter to make the bird feeders better.  I don't get out and about as often as I would like to so I wanted to…Continue

Birdie are you thinking of iris moss?

Birdie I planted some of the steppables but they didn't last long...I think it was too sunny for them...however there was some kind of wild grassy plant that came up between my brick that comes back every year...have no idea what it is called, something native to our area. You should be able to find something that works.

@Beth, I am gonna try stepables, a moss of sorts that look like mini ferns. Don't know name. Will post when planted! Thanks Beth and happy gardening!

love your walkway Birdie...I can just see it now with the grass in between.  They have that steppable moss and plants at our local gardening center that would do well too.

Laid these yesterday, still a bit muddy. Used old brick, natural stone and old slabs of concrete to make. A lot of work but will be worth it. Gonna add moss in between after I get home from Hawaii!

Jan. I did a mosaic with sanded grout around the sides using some gorgeous flowered broken tile.  I don't really plan to put the bird house outside...just for fun would have to be a real regal bird to take up residence in this house!!

Cindy, I'm gonna try the mineral bottle on my Dahlias and other pots...

Margret, I haven't see you lately and missed you, did you get the Glass windows put anywhere yet?

I went to visit another Garden Share friend I met here from my town... only 2000 people in town and I meet someone from Garden Share... anyhow she has such great ideas... I went over to check out her lighting under her kitchen cabinets, I gotta do it... it is so nice..... after seeing her kitchen and house I was enthused about all my work to organize myself... she has cute vignettes everywhere and she loves twinkle lights and candles... such an inspiration.

Beth I seen your bird house ...on Trash to treasure on turned out so cute I would hate to use it outside.. and this is super sweet.  Is that a  floral fabric around the mirror?

Not for the garden but definitely for the old window I repurposed.  Added mirrors and knobs to hang my jewelry on...
