Improve your bird feeders. 3 Replies

Why do they make bird feeders that rush the birds away?  My husband has helped me this winter to make the bird feeders better.  I don't get out and about as often as I would like to so I wanted to…Continue

Kay I would like this group to have a section above in the discussion area to have (each) all of our ideas and maybe directions on achieving the end product...as that way we don't have to go way back into the history of the comment wall!!

Cid< thanks for the idea for my Fabric swatches.  I want to ask now that I saw the re-cycled Weber, what do you have under it to hold it up off the deck?

Cid, I love it.... I live near my city dump about 2-3 miles worth the drive. I just may have to get another Webber there.... I have a brown one I got there last year, in perfect condition... so I use it for what it was purposed for, but I've seen many of them in the dump.

We live in the Fog belt, so our Webers rust out after a few years. (Of course, if only my husband would put it away during the "rainy season"...Ah-Hem!) Usually the legs rust off first, then he creates some other sort of a stand until the entire thing is decrepid!

(Use it up, Wear it out, Make do, Do with out!")

Cid, your mosaic transformation is fabulous!  I will be eyeballing my old weber (whose legs got lost when we moved!) in a whole different light now, thanks to you!!!  Thank you for sharing!!

Thanks! I have a friend who wants me to come over and take  (get rid of) some old tiles ..TONS of them. I am going to have to re-purpose them. I'm thinking a mosaic garden path. Wait and see... It will take me months!

Great picture of seating area below! You are very creative! Good theme, choice of plant by height, texture and placement of objects. True artist!

"Like most frosty mornings in Australia it cleared to be lovely day, the sun came out with a little left over summer heat. I got out and weeded the veggi garden. Love it."
