Why do they make bird feeders that rush the birds away? My husband has helped me this winter to make the bird feeders better. I don't get out and about as often as I would like to so I wanted to…Continue

Comment by margaret woodford on February 11, 2012 at 10:37am hi cindy...hope all is well...i know it's been a loonng time....have you tried this...this might work really well for my plants on the beam in my cabin...it's becoming more difficult to water them these days.....(knee problem!)...i think that the holes might clog...but i'm going to give this a try...i think i'll try to use the thinner size..like the ones for the diet pepsi bottle...these plants on the beam are sooo compact .i'm not sure how i'll "squezzze" the bottle into the pots!!!!
Comment by Christine Zone 9 AZ on February 5, 2012 at 12:41pm Mary actually the wrong explanation was here I did stick the wire in the ground ,(not upside down like I said) and the large circle is where I place a large pot, I do not have them anchored just pushed wire down good sorry again..
Christine - I like your idea. So the largest round hoop is on the ground, and the wire that would get pushed into the soil is now securing the pot? Is the cage anchored in any way or is the weight of the pot enough to keep it upright? I am wondering how solid this set up is.
Great, Cynthia. I needed another time-consuming blog to waste time on. ;) (great repurposing ideas! I like!)
Comment by Christine Zone 9 AZ on February 4, 2012 at 8:37pm Jan don't know if your material is big enough to make folded wallets I have one somewhere around here. I used one for a long time then one of my ladies bought me a wallet and the cloth one was all dirty. I really liked it, had a place for check book, coins, bills a pen, forget all the areas. Will try to find it and see if I can get a good pic for you.
I was actually in here tonight turning off the follow allerts in all my groups cause I need to go to the farm for a few days. I realized the one to this group was already off so I was way behind.
I like step ladders better as plant stands.
Harry I need to build a box like that only with screen bottoms to dry herbs and things in. I donated most of my baby jars from one son to the kids at church for their projects. I have lots of mayo and other plastic jars with nuts, bolts, nails ect. too. I put all the sewing things that I accumulated over the yrs into glass jars. I don't even sew but I'm ready when I want to. Got lots of stuff from the mom/daughter I moved to assisted living. Have 2 old sewing machines but I think the one is missing parts to work. The other not so sure about either have to take it to my guys at Sew and Vac to show me how to use it and see if it has all it's parts. At this point if I want to start sewing I would just get a new one and make payments to them like I've done with 4 vacs.
