Repurposed baby crib 3 Replies

A friend gave me this crib when I was pregnant. It was the kind that drops down in the front and is unsafe to use, it also was missing a lot of bolts & we couldn't even figure out how it goes…Continue

Improve your bird feeders. 3 Replies

Why do they make bird feeders that rush the birds away?  My husband has helped me this winter to make the bird feeders better.  I don't get out and about as often as I would like to so I wanted to…Continue

I only pay $20 for tennis shoes that fit my feet then when they are all worn out on the sides or all dirty inside they become planters. I even take boots shoes from friends when available. The boots came from a fellow who is dead now so I cherish them. I even dug a nice pair of dressier shoes out of the trash from some other friends that I clean for. I haven't planted those yet. Kinda wish I could figure out a way for them to live indoors with plants in them.

thanks Glenda...Vicky I was in Garden Ridge this week and they have large tennis shoe planters that look very real that you use for planters...they wanted 20. each for them which I thought was a lot...but they sure were cool!

Beth, I checked out the pictures on your page. You are one very talented lady.  I love the strawberry jar and the gourds.

Mary...go for it and thanks for the compliment...mosaic is very easy. You can make as fancy or as simple as  you like.  I'm addicted. I have a photo on my home page of a strawberry pot I did in the fall and planted winter pansies in. they are still blooming and until they stop I'll eave them.  Then I'll plant something in it for the summer..maybe some lobelia.

I love the mosaic table.  And I love succulents/hens 'n chicks are a favorite.  I made a nice hens 'n chick arrangement in an old tool box a few months back.

I'd like to try my hand at some mosaics.  It is certainly inspiring to see the great job, Beth!

Love the shoe garden Vicky.  I also REALY liked the link on building the potting bench.  I was just given three pallets.  I was going to make them into vertical gardens but I think I might try this idea.

Beth I want your back yard!  So pretty and I love the table.  You girls are so creative!

I wish I had taken a photo of this littel bench before I mosaiced it.  It was a piece of junk.

Solomon Seal in Full Bloom

"Thanks Clare for the info. It is just the perfect height for under my living room window & seems to like the part sun & part shade corner there. Sometimes it would get too hot for a day or two in May & burn azaleas."
