Just bought a vise and a Dremel 2 speed w/carving & engraving accessory kit.  Took an old (30 yrs) school desk, stripped off the warped laminate, added new wood, painted the legs and voila, I have a new work bench for all my recycled creations.  I am so happy.

I found a little light house at a thrift store yesterday for my little sea garden.

Lovely pictures Cheryl and Donna.  Thanks for sharing them.

The last piece I want to share with you is this rusty piece of another farm machine. Set in the middle of her flower bed, it actually resembles a whirling flower stake itself.

Picking up several cast off pieces of seating, Donna created several charming vinnettes throughout her garden spaces. Here an old bathroom vanity seat gets a coat of red paint to really brighten up this spot; while below, a child's yard bench painted bright yellow gives a great accent seat for this charming birdhouse.

Noting how expensive the pretty gazing balls are, Donna found a substitute while shopping yard sales and thrift stores, as well as all kinds of stands to put them in - colorful bowling balls became her gazing ball garden art:

First Beans From Second Planting of Pole Beans

"Pole beans are so easy to grow! Just plop the seed in the ground and make sure they have something to climb on. This is a new variety I tried this year. I just love the apricot-colored blooms. (And the beans taste good, too!)"

Early Fall Color

"Correct, Keryn. No frost yet. We usually get our first frost in early November, although it wouldn't be too usual to get one towards the end of October."
