Group where San Antonio, TX gardeners can come together and share seeds, plants and be informed of gardening programs here in the city. I will post up plant swaps, too.

I am trying to unite gardeners to meetup with each other and find common types of gardening here in the San Antonio, TX area. We do have many clubs such as the begonia club, the herb club, the native plant group, etc.
This is a great way to meet people with like interest. San Antonio has so many resources but I have yet to find a page where we can find all the events that involve gardening in one area. We have to search here and there.
I love doing that. I find that after raising 4 sons, I have more time to do this.
I hope you will join in the fun of finding great bargains and just share gardening tips.
Glad you are here!
Tell us why this nursery is your favorite. Continue

Comment by Patricia Valdez on August 23, 2012 at 11:54am The last plant swap at Douglas MacArthur Park was alot of fun. I got to meet Lorelei and Grace from Bulverde, tx. They mentioned their garden group is going to have a plant sale in their upcoming Bulverde Jubilee. See events. :)

Comment by Patricia Valdez on May 26, 2012 at 3:03pm Rosario Ramon, my mom and I went excited to the event. We are back now with MORE plants of course. I wasn't too crazy about the plant trade selection but nevertheless we did get some. Ran into Mary Farley Most, Sheila M., Lupita, Betty, Theresa Merritt, Linda, Paul Nixon, and Patty Schultz Mines. So happy to see everyone. We ended up resting at the Herb Cooking class which was so yummy. The mash potatoes and herb sauce was devine. So many gorgeous flowers but I ended up buying 3 herbs for my herb tower. Now time to rest and then head outside tonight to find new locations for the plants I traded for and bought.
