How do you get seed from black and blue salvia?

I have blue salvia's too...I have no idea on your question though...

Black and Blue is very difficult to get seed from. There's a few reasons. One, it doesn't make a lot of seeds. Many tuberous plants are not as generous with seeds as non-tuberous plants are. Two, when the few seeds it makes are ripe, they fall out unlike most salvias where the seeds stay put. Three, you can't bag the blossoms to collect the seed it does make because they need to be pollinated to make seed. A couple years ago, I keep visiting my salvia looking for seeds. I believe I ended up with 3 for the season, lol.
