I read in abook that winter time esp snow shows where things have to be trimmed back, to improve garden lines and garden flows. it also keeps the weight of the snow off the shrub, and keeps it from breaking
Steve, I kept the tag with the plant in the picture. It says that it is a false cypress "sungold". I just planted it this fall as a starter for the new garden I'm planning for next year. I loved the color of it.
