Hi y'all! I'm a gardener in the West Adams are of SoCal, and I'm just wondering about whether passiflora vines go dormant in winter or whether mine have had a shock with replanting.  I bought two of…Continue

Question.... I need ideas for a flowering vine that isn't too vigorous, as in I want some color but it's in a small narrow space. I got a nice trellis about 6 ft high, and the width is about 3 ft. Any thoughts? The space gets afternoon sun and is often breezy. I appreciate any thoughts you have!

Check out this awesome display of artichoke plants! Old tree stumps are the planters...they love it.

Finally my gardenia bloomed on its 3rd cycle!  Woohoo! I love to bring some blossoms in, float them in water, and set then next to my bed.  Heavenly fragrance!

This is the extent of my artichoke patch so far except for one other that survived.  3 are gone...down the gopher hole!  I'm so bummed...I bought two more and put them in planters instead.  (I'll show him!)

I don't have the "heart" to harvest my artichokes... :(

Lexi and Carole – I just planted artichoke this past weekend.  Besides loving the taste, the plants themselves are fantastic to look at!  Lexi, yours is looking quite nice.  Once mine gets some volume to it I'll post some snaps!
