South Carolina members, where are you ?... Happy Gardening !

I'm thinking about ordering a Magnolia from Arbor Day. They will give me a free Red Maple Tree... I love both trees. Does anyone have pics of a Magnolia or Maple !... Please share !

Frost on the ground for two nights. Still in disbelief, this is April and the tender plants are blooming. I planted 10 trees and we have frost on the ground. I'm trying to protect whatever I can. I truly hope the barks help protect them... Happy Gardening !

My Arbor Day trees are here. They were shipped dormant. I have all ten planted. If they live, I will be very proud. I have barks around them so it will not get mowed over. They will make it good if it doesn't make it . I will keep them watered... Happy Gardening !

@ Patrick... Will the Arbor Day Foundation ship small tree plants ? Just wondering if I should look for a shipment of medium trees or small transplant... Happy Gardening !
Comment by Myan Jencks Zone 7-B SC on March 10, 2012 at 9:47pm Hi Joan, sorry it took me awhile to come back here. I am looking for that vine group now. Went to the Home and Garden show today. Bought a Red Bud tree and a mushroom accent for one of my gardens it will go with my fairies. Yes I am thinking of the morning glories or some trumpet vines. Hope your having a great weekend:)

Myan, if you grow vines, check out Group "VINES"... I love morning glory so I'm trying to full my yard this Spring. I have tried for years with no luck sprouting them. The group gave me such wonderful advice and I finally got them to sprout. I love Garden-Share !

Welcome to The South Carolina Group Myan... I needed someone to talk to...lol. Its so lonesome in here. The weather is very strange this Winter. My Azaleas are blooming, I'm praying a freeze does not come along and damage them. I'm buying seeds, soil, new hoses, and preparing to make new flower beds... Happy Gardening !
Comment by Anne Kirkley - Zone 8 on February 28, 2012 at 8:52am Hi again! Been really busy this February .. finally getting caught up.
I was sitting outside this morning trying to resist the urge to start unloading the greenhouse .. Got 3 inches of rain over the weekend .. we really needed it.
At the moment I'm adding new soil to existing beds and creating a new bed - also moving large containers around .. What's everyone else doing?
