Hi Joan- Try adding little succulent cuttings to the dish ... you'll be surprised how quickly they propagate. Also, at the county fair (in San mateo CA) they have a category for minatures and one for dish gardens. I have seen some exciting creations there. Check itout if you live where there mught be a horticultural exhibit.-Cid
