YaY for the rain!   I fell asleep to the sound of a thunderstorm and pouring rain last night. Woke to a very nice refreshing morning.  Love the scent after the rain comes.. so nice!

The rain is mostly going south of here, which is where they need it, but would love to get more rain.  Luckily, more rain is forecast for today and possibly Friday so that helps.

It raining here again, and it was another gusher. It's a light sprinkle now. Am so grateful, better get the lawn mower tuned up:)

We just got a few drops on Friday but it sure looked like it was going gangbusters other places around here!  We got to see a really nice light(ning) show though!

This bird bath was empty and it filled up with last nights rain.

We got some rain Friday and last night. Nice thunderstorm passed through last night, and it was a gusher. We sure did need it. Hope everyone else that needs it, gets it soon.

Hi Doris welcome to the group:) I hope we never have to deal with tall weeds ever again....lol It was quite the workout. We are staying on top of  the mowing now. We have not had any rain for a few weeks now. It's beginning to look dry. We have been passed up on the rain. It goes around us, sure could use some right about now.

Hi, everyone!  My dog Schnitzel (that's her picture there) and I live in Lewisville.  We moved here in 2003 from the Chicago suburbs.  I just saw this group and thought it was a good idea for me to join.  Cindy, before I moved down here to live closer to my sister after our mom died.  I live about an hour and a half away from my mom, and several months after she died I did not visit the house for at least 6 weeks with no thought of the grass growing.  Umm, well, when I did, it was a good thing my sister and brother-in-law were coming up that weekend to work on selling the house because the grass was waist high.  Ended up having to hire a tractor to mow it.  Sheesh!
