I also live in Texas.  I am planning my fall garden but not really sure when to plant.  Seems like the extreme heat would make it difficult.  I plan to sow lettuce, spinach and escarole.  I always do some leeks and shallots.  I want to try brussells sprouts and brocolli this fall.  I haven't been very successful with brocolli to date.  Beets seem to be a good fall crop but I'm skipping those this year.  I understand that many people start tomatos about now for fall.

Hi all, I'm new to your group. I live in Texas and I have a fall garden this year. very happy with the out come!!!! I have had a summer garden for many years, but never fall , anyone else have a fall garden?
