Comment by Glenda Truscott z8 on May 28, 2012 at 11:29am Like Cindy, I too have a sister whoes name is Barbara. She is my big sister and I have alway loved the name. It seems to go with good people. My one nasturtium that made it has two orange blossoms on it. Our season is just getting started so i hope it will produce more. I wish I had a place for a Crepe Myrtle, I think they are such a lovely tree.
Comment by Barbara Brown Z8 Al. on May 28, 2012 at 11:11am Cindy, glad your vines are starting to get happy!! LOL! My Nasturtiums weren't happy either because of the heat. I moved one basket & hung it under a Crepe Myrtle where it gets filtered light & it looks much better. Mine has orange blooms too! I might post a pic later, I didn't want to, after seeing how good Grant's Nasturtiums looked! LOL! I never did find the Nasturtium Vine seeds this yr. I have a Moon Vine coming up! It's just breaking the soil this a.m., & I was so excited! My Castor Beans are hanging in there. I've had them in water, after they had to stay in that hot mailbox, but they're going into soil later today.

Comment by Barbara Brown Z8 Al. on May 27, 2012 at 11:45pm Glenda, I know it's sad that these are the last two blooms, but they are beautiful!! It's kind of like that with many flowers, such as daylilies. I know their days are numbered, so I just enjoy & take in their beauty while I can!
Grant, the quote on your sign sums it up for real!!! LOL!!
