Joan, here's a link to one of the photos I took of the sweet peas after I had used them in a vase. I have another photo on GS which I will post.

Comment by Joan *Flower Angel*.. Z-8 on May 7, 2012 at 4:36am Morning... Lyn, do you have pics of your Sweet Pea ? Cindy that is a lovely pic, I never knew 4 O'clock grew that large. I have not seen any sprouts of my Cardinal Vine. I'll throw more seeds in a pot. We are in need of rain once again. It rained all around me this weekend and only a sprinkle, not enough to wet anything. I soaked everything well with the hose. That is why I love heat tolerate plants... Happy Gardening !
Comment by Lyn (Sydney,Aus) on May 6, 2012 at 11:58pm Cynthia - Gosh that is huge. I am sharing my 3 different colours of 4 o'clock seeds I bought with Lillian (GS) as she is sure to make them bloom with her green fingers! By the way I love the look of that Cardinal Vine.
Glenda - I grew Sweet Peas here in Sydney for the first time last year and they did so well. I had flowers on them for weeks. They were actually planted in my veg patch as I wasn't sure if they would germinate. When they finished flowering I dug them into the ground as green compost. I have just planted this years crop in another bed.
