Here's the Hyacinth Bean Vine flowers, will post the purple seeds pods next.  They're beautiful and grow about 8ft.  Leaves are dark purple at first and then turn green.

Hiya everyone, great to see you posting again, Janet.  Hope you're able to keep it up.  Mo, that 'Tangerine beauty' crossvine is a Monrovia introduction and I just love it.  Full hot sun and water when dry are all it needs.  Mine is basically evergreen regardless of the weather which I love.  You can do a quick google search for it for hardiness etc., but as far as I'm concerned it's a great plant.  Let us know if you get one and how it does for you.  Happy gardening everyone!

Hello everyone!  Noticed the vine group has grown to 70 now, that's great!  Was off GS for several months...most of Autumn.  Started to walk my neighbors dogs and didn't seem to have time to keep up.  Was used to checking GS daily for years but now that it's winter hope to be on daily again.  Want to try Scarlet Runner Bean for an ornamental vine this year.

Springtime is ideal when the risks of frost and chilly winds have passed and the soil is beginning to warm up.It's also before the foliage and buds are starting to form on the vines, which means the plants can focus all their energy into getting established.
