Hi all,
New to this site.... if you are looking for a good software site, try Picasa! I googled it and it came up...
Someone in the Photo group suggested it to me, it's free !! I love it! Here are 2 examples of what I was able to do!!

I have my old Canon AE-1 slr that i still use once in awhile but my newer canon Power shot sx20is is the camera I use most of the time. I really love it. For a point and shoot it takes pretty good pictures.

names on photos? you can add it in the tags like i been doing-although i would love to find out how to copywrite them before i post any of them on any website. my goal is to have one of mine someday on a cover of magazine or at least in one. i love photography and also am addicted to most wierd things to photograph. especially if you capture it that way, i don not like to crop much becuase to me it looses the photo in what you want others to see, unless it is a macro bug shot or something like that.  if there is another way to add your name -copywrite photos please someone email me and explain how.  thanks so much to all

hi- new to this site- i love my nikon coolpix p-100 camara. it is small enough to use one handed { for my drive by photo's } hanging out the truck window shots.  it also has 26x's zoom for those great close ups without wanting to disturb your nature freinds, as well as many many manual features that i have never used. i use three settings on my camara and that's about it. i do have a kodak easy share z 1285 - 5x's zoom as well wrapped in an aquapac for those in the rain photos, snow, flying sand at the beach,  and bad weather type deals.  i want to be sure i have all my camara's at hand anytime i need a photography picture. thanks for this wonderful site, i am sure i will learn alot of things and hopefully leave some knowledge behind.

Morning group-just joined. I just started taking photos in September-had an Olympus but the zoom got stuck and out of warranty-of course ( I will send it in and get it fixed ) but I purchased a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS6 and I absolutely love it. It has a Leica lens. My dad used to use a Leica camera. I have found that I can bend/ exaggerate the image. I get some wonderful photos from it. I am a newbie at photography but a looong time gardener. I have man, many subjects to capture. This is one of my favorite irises. It is called "Breakers" The light, everything was right for this shot. I did exaggerate it a little too-on purpose.

Wanted to add...before I hit the button...check online as quite often "Consumers Report" will evaluate digital cameras taking in price and features...

Camera type depends a lot upon the individual and what type of pix they want to take....Point and shoots are really nice and especially nice, personally I like a VIEWFINDER on mine because I like to take a lot of outdoor pix and sometime the screen washes out for me....Your price range is about right for a nice point and shoot camera....ALSO...very high mega pix aren't necessary to pay lots extra for,...setting on very high mega pixels eats up memory stix and isn't always necessary for good pix...I rarely set above 5 mega pixels when shooting and most of my very close up flower pix (yes even my bugs) show up nicely....
