Lynn, Did it spread by seed or roots for you?

Comment by Lynn Bober on February 24, 2012 at 2:32pm
I had an opposite experience and found them to be invasive. I ended up removing them and was sorry to have to do it, because I liked their structure. May have to do with soil type.

Thank You N. Brookie, I really like them but with the name thistle they scared me.

It isn't and you will probably want to pick them for dried bouquets.

Does anyone know if Globe Thistle is invasive?

Congrats Robin! It'll be a few weeks before anything thinks about growing here. I can't wait!

the cream ones are pretty, I know what you mean about Menards, I was shocked to see them there also. I hope they have them again this year.

I don't have any pictures, but they are a cream-colored flower. I also picked these up from Menards and I was surprised to find them there as I have only seen them featured in specialty nursery catalogs where they are pretty pricey

"I hear you, Lynda, regarding getting out in the garden whenever you can. Sorry to hear you are dealing with some health issues but it looks like you don't let that get in the way of creating beauty in your garden."

"Charlotte, I do feel blessed that my husband shares my passion for gardening. Your harsh climate in Oklahoma does make it especially challenging for you, but I'm guessing it also makes gardening even more rewarding when your efforts pay off."
