Thea Cinco De Mayo means 5th of May.
Oh ! Happy Cinco De Mayo to you as well . Now i thought that was in September . or are there 2 . I recently learned why we as Americans should celebrate the one in September . it was because of the Mexican People in California helped defeat the French and helped keep them from Joining into one of our wars . So if that was one of your realitives then thank you .

Comment by John Jardin – zone 9 on April 25, 2012 at 1:08pm I am currently in the planning stages for a big garden party in a month. Lots of sprucing-up of the gardens to do. I also want to add/reconfigure my lighting. Yikes!
Comment by John Jardin – zone 9 on March 19, 2012 at 7:30pm Catherine, Carol, Lila,
Thanks for the kind words.
I'm sure the lamps you see in the photo were expensive. It was a nice brunch and everything looked priceless!
But I know just about anyone could use their creative genius and create their own, much more reasonably priced, floor lamps. I may try my hand at it. That is unless my hands become far too busy digging in the mud!
