Crystal,

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the photo... and yes technically I do live north of the border.. the border between Mexico and the US.... of course if you mean the border between the US and Canada then yes your correct I live South of the Border... lol  I actually live in San Diego :-)

The rose in this photo is called a Tuscan Sun, it's a floribunda and one of my favorites :-)

We get quite a bit of cold in the area I live in and even get frost during the winter but we have had a mild winter this year.. to be fair and honest however that photo was taken before the winter hit.  My roses bushes have already started growing and I do have a few flowers but not as full yet as the one in the photo. That probably won't happen for another month or so....

Oh my!  How beautiful!!!! You obviously don't live North of the Border.  I won't see my roses emerge until April and won't bloom until June :(.  What is your rose's variety?  I grew one similar called Morden Sunrise, but I'm sure that isn't it.

I have found this one grows beautifully in my yard through the variety of temps we get here. We get temps as low as the 20's overnight in the winter and as high as 108 in the summers and it still does wonderfully so hopefully you will have good luck with it as well. It also seems to be pretty disease resistant. One of my favorites :-)

Have checked this one out and it was released here in 2006. It has been rated a high performer here as it flowered throughout 35C/95F heat when first trialled down in Victoria, so would be ideal for my garden where I get the very fierce afternoon sun (that's when it stops raining, our wettest Summer for as long as I can remember!)
Would love to add this to Rose garden....
